Building Financial Understanding Since 2019

We started Polandor Tivresta because too many investors were getting caught up in complex strategies without understanding the fundamentals. After years of watching people struggle with investment decisions, we knew there had to be a better approach.

Our method focuses on teaching the core principles first — how markets actually work, why certain instruments behave the way they do, and how to read the signals that matter. We've found that when people understand the reasoning behind investment choices, they make much better decisions on their own.

Our Teaching Philosophy

Most financial education throws formulas and theories at you without context. We take the opposite approach — we start with real market situations you'll actually encounter.

Every concept we teach comes with examples from actual market conditions. When we explain options strategies, we show you exactly how they performed during specific market periods. When we discuss portfolio allocation, we walk through real portfolios and their outcomes.

What Sets Our Approach Apart

We believe in teaching the 'why' before the 'how.' Understanding market psychology and economic fundamentals gives you a foundation that adapts to changing conditions. Technical analysis and specific strategies come later, once you have that solid base.

Areas We Focus On

Market Analysis Skills

We teach you how to read market conditions and identify trends that actually matter for your investment decisions. This isn't about predicting the future — it's about understanding what the data is telling you right now.

Risk Management

Good investment education always comes back to managing downside risk. We spend considerable time on position sizing, diversification strategies, and how to structure portfolios that can handle market volatility without derailing your goals.

Strategy Implementation

Theory only gets you so far. We focus heavily on the practical side — how to execute strategies in real market conditions, what to watch for when things don't go as planned, and how to adjust your approach based on results.

Who You'll Learn From

Background and Experience

Kieran spent eight years working with institutional investors before transitioning to education in 2019. His experience includes portfolio management for pension funds and private wealth management for high-net-worth clients across British Columbia and Alberta.

What struck him during those years was how many sophisticated investors still struggled with basic concepts like correlation and volatility timing. That observation became the foundation for our educational approach here.

Teaching Methodology

Rather than starting with complex instruments, Kieran begins each course by walking through how different asset classes have performed during various economic cycles. Students learn to recognize patterns and understand causation before moving into specific investment vehicles.

"I've seen too many people lose money on strategies they didn't fully understand. My job is to make sure that doesn't happen to our students. We move slowly and build understanding step by step."

What Students Appreciate

Kieran's students often mention his ability to explain complex concepts using straightforward examples. He draws heavily from his institutional experience, sharing real cases and outcomes without overwhelming students with unnecessary technical detail.
